It's the little things that count...
Always contemporary and funky, yet never overbearing, the atmosphere in Monsoons is one of fun, pleasure and style. Monsoons welcome each guest with service second to none.

Monsoons can customise the hotel layout for individual event requirements with the shimmy of a curtain, the slide of a petition, or even just the shuffle of a few bits of furniture – depending on the number of guests and whether you want a private area, or you wish to host an event yet still be part of the lively atmosphere.

With capacity for up to 400, disabled access, a custom built stage, an advanced sound and lighting system, booth seating, lounge seating, an outdoor area and an intimate function area – Monsoons is a mix of contemporary chic and old world charm.

Monsoons, is the ultimate place in Darwin for events needing a stylish yet casual setting. So - for a big soiree, a gathering for 50, a lunch meeting for 10, or simply a drink or two with a few friends, you can't go past the comfortable cool surrounds of Monsoons.

A selection of beer, wine and cocktails are available for functions. Please refer to our BAR menu for selections available.
NOTE: wristbands are available for guests on a bar tab.

Information
Monsoons can cater for both exclusive and non-exclusive functions and events.
The venue is licensed to hold 510 patrons, 400 inside and 110 outside. Our hours of operation are: 10am – 4am (next day). Various areas of Monsoons are available to accommodate private functions for up to 150 in number. Please discuss your requirements with our staff.
Menu
Please note that our menus may vary. Our chef's change the menu regularly; according to the availability of the freshest local seasonal produce. The Monsoons function menus are designed for a minimum of 10 guests. Monsoons reserved the right to change the menus and menu prices. Alternating courses are charged at an additional $10 per person.
Beverages
For all functions, beverages can be served either on a consumption basis or as a package. We do not have cash bar facilities for functions over 50 guests, unless guests are prepared to order drinks at the bar. BYO is not permitted. We practice the responsible service of alcohol at all times and in keeping with liquor licensing laws, any person deemed to be intoxicated will not be served alcohol. The service of alcohol is at the manager's discretion.
Event times
For private events held on evenings when there is live entertainment or bands, start and finish times may be affected and should be confirmed by management.
Entertainment
The manager must approve any entertainment held at the venue
Table settings
All tables are set with cutlery, crockery and glassware. Linen or centre-pieces are not included.
Set menus and selected beverage lists are provided for all guests.
Decorations
The venue can be decorated to your desired theme although nothing may be screwed, nailed, stapled or adhered to walls, floors, doors or windows. Candles, confetti, sparklers or anything containing soil can only be used with permission of management.
Tentative Bookings
Tentative bookings may be made and these will be held for a maximum of two weeks after which a deposit is required.
Confirmation of bookings
For all private events booked, 10% of the expected total spend is required as the deposit. Deposits are deducted from the final amount. A signed confirmation form must accompany the deposit.
Confirmation of arrangements
Monsoons require final event arrangements no less than 7 days prior to the event. This includes confirmation of the menu, beverages, running sheet, and any additional requirements. The number of guests attending is required no later than 72 hours prior.
Cancellation
Any deposit will be refunded if the event is cancelled up to 2 weeks prior to the event date. Any events cancelled after 2 weeks prior: 50% of the anticipated food revenue will be charged. Under 1 week: the total anticipated food revenue will be charged, unless we consider there are extraordinary circumstances.
Payment
Monsoons do not accept individual payments for any group bookings, (more than 10 guests). Payment for all food is required in full, 3 days prior to the event. If beverages are being paid for as a package, payment is required in full 3 days prior. Should beverages be on a consumption basis, full payment is required at the end of the event.
Responsibility and Damage
Any damage caused to Monsoons property, facilities, equipment or surrounds by guests will be the financial responsibility of the event organiser. Any costs associated with abnormal cleaning or set-up will be charged to the client.
Loss
Monsoons do not accept responsibility for loss or damage to any of the client's property left on premises prior to, during or after an event.
Prices & GST
All prices are based on current and foreseeable costs, however they are subject to change at management's discretion to allow for produce availability, market cost variation, wage increases or other circumstances. All prices are inclusive of GST.
Sundays & public holidays
Should your event fall on a Sunday or public holiday, the event will incur an unavoidable 10% surcharge on the final account.
